Targeting Teenagers, Master of Health Law Study Program Conducts Community Service to SMANSA Denpasar University General

Udayana University (Unud) Postgraduate Program in Master of Health Law Study (PSMHKes) carried out community service activities on Friday, October 13, 2023, which were held at SMAN 1 (SMANSA) Denpasar Hall. The theme was "The Impact of Free Sex on Adolescents and Overcoming Academic Stress from a Legal and Health View." Besides being attended by the 2nd batch of Master of Health Law students, it was also accompanied by MHKes lecturers who at that time had the opportunity to attend, namely the Coordinator of PSMHKes, Prof. Dr. dr. R.A. Tuty Kuswardhani, Sp.PD-Ker, M.Kes, M.H., then also attended by Prof. Dr. I Wayan Parsa, SH., M.Hum, Prof. Dr. Ni Ketut Supasti Dharmawan, S.H., M.Hum., LLM., Dr. dr. IB. Fajar Manuaba, Sp.OG (K) MARS, and Dr. dr. I Gde Sastra Winata, M.Biomed., Sp.O.G., Subsp. Onk, and this Community Service activity also involves class X students at SMANSA Denpasar.

 

I Ketut Sadia, as the Vice Principal, welcomed the presence of the Udayana University Postgraduate PSMHKes academic community in this activity. "We are very grateful for the socialization of the academicians who have chosen SMANSA Denpasar as a place of socialization. Hopefully this socialization can have a positive impact on these X grade students," said I Ketut Sadia.

 

This socialization activity was carried out by focusing on increasing the knowledge and legal awareness of students regarding the legal aspects of child marriage, increasing the level of knowledge and understanding of students regarding free sex, including the consequences caused and ways to prevent it, and also increasing students' knowledge and understanding of overcoming academic stress from a legal and health perspective. This socialization presented three resource persons from MHKes students who are experienced in their respective fields, namely dr. Lely Setyawati Kurniawan, Sp.KJ (K), who is a forensic psychiatry consultant; dr. Iswahyudi SpAn, who is the Head of the Department of Anesthesiology, Intensive Therapy, and Pain Management at Bali Mandara Hospital; and Anak Agung Sagung Ratih Maheswari, S.H., who is a lawyer.

 

Lecturer Prof. Dr. Ni Ketut Supasti Dharmawan, S.H., M.Hum., LLM, said that this community service is a routine activity that is held in order to carry out the tri dharma of higher education, namely community service. She said that this counseling and socialization is expected to provide benefits for students, as well as MHKes students, in closing the activity. (tna)
